The Ambika skirt is made from super soft knitted cotton jersey. A very simple design, it is a full circle block giving a full skirt with a generous amount of fabric and a fantastic drape and movement. The skirt is full length.
The waistband is a wide waistband with a thick elastic inside giving a firmness at the waist. I actually asked my pattern cutter to stitch the elastic at the sides of the skirt as we usually do, but he didn't. The seam is at the back, which still works. I have already marked the skirt at less than it would have been if Ghanshayam had put the seams where I wanted them ! It's a gorgeous skirt and proving really popular. As so often, it is the simple things in life we love !
The skirt is available in Indigo Blue and Heather Marl Jersey. I have used the last of that fabric now in this latest small production.

I have also put the ' unstretched' waist size in inches. When the elastic is stretched it can comfortably fit another 4 inches than stated here

M: 29.5" : 12-14
