Bridie Long Wool Waistcoat With Knitted Cotton Shawl Collar

Description

The Bridie Waistcoat is mid thigh length. The main body of the waistcoat is made from a woven wool blend blazer fabric. The cut is fairly straight giving a streamlined look. The waistcoat has a belt loop at each side with wool belt ties attached with metal rings. These can be tied at the front or at the back or removed completely so a different belt can be used.

There are two deep and satisfyingly useful side pockets. The waistcoat has a generous shawl collar made from our new super snuggly knitted cotton fabric. This looks elegant draped loose and the vertical lines elongate the body. The shawl can also be wrapped around the body and tied with the belt and is also wide enough to cover the head.

The Bridie waistcoat looks great with our Butterfly Trousers in the same jersey fabric and the colour ways all mix and match together. The waistcoat is available in a deep earthy plum colour with a heather scarf and a subtle green check with a moss green shawl.

Small: 8 - 12

Medium: 12 - 16

Large: 16 - 18

Our wool blend blazer fabrics are hunted and gathered in the surplus markets of India, this means that we only have a limited amount of each fabric and, once this is finished, garments can not be repeated. It also means that we can not tell you the exact composition of each fabric, only that it is high in wool content and high quality as those are the ones we carefully choose with our contacts in India.

The Knitted Cotton jersey was made especially for Haruka. The yarn is a marl so it is not a flat colour but a subtle two tone and the fabric has been brushed so it is matt in appearance.

To Wash treat as knitwear. Machine wash with gentle detergent on a wool cycle or hand wash. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
