Description
The Dorje Waistcoat has detailed geometrical hand pintuck stitching. This detail is both striking and subtle. The waistcoat is hip length and fastens with natural horn buttons. It is fully lined in 100% cotton velvet. This continues onto the collar giving a contrast detail. The Waistcoat is more of a square pattern than the more fitted classic Haruka waistcoat, this compliments the pintuck design and the small cap sleeves.
The waistcoat comes in three different wool blend fabrics all of which give it a completely different look. The collar on the Black Rose speaks for itself ( the black fabric is also a herringbone weave), then there is the grey herringbone and the Desert Nomad, so called because the dove grey and muted faun colours somehow remind Amanda of the desert. The vertical stripes on the desert Nomad Fabric make a beautiful harmony with the pintuck detailing. The yellow has a funky contrast turquoise lining.
Our wool blend blazer fabrics are hunted and gathered in the surplus markets of India, this means that we only have a limited amount of each fabric and, once this is finished, garments can not be repeated. It also means that we can not tell you the exact composition of each fabric, only that it is high in wool content and high quality as those are the ones we carefully choose with our contacts in India.
The sizing on these waistcoats is quite generous. If you want a tight fit then you could go one size down from your usual size. But also take into account your bust size, if you have a big bust then perhaps stick with your normal UK size.
Wash on a cold wool wash with gentle detergent, do not tumble dry
