The Haruka Bag
The classic Haruka bag is sturdy and stylish. If you are a big bag person this is the bag for you! Small enough to use daily for your purse, makeup bag, water bottle, charger, lunch and whatever else we find at the bottom of our handbags. Fits a 13" laptop in a case comfortably. Also fits a load of shopping on the way home, including oat milk or wine (depending what mood you are in!) Lots of separate zip pockets for keys, purses and little bits. All the zips are sturdy YKK antique brass and other brass bits are of the highest quality.
The bag has handles that are big enough to fit comfortably over the shoulder and also a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap which attaches to the bag on both sides with a sturdy brass clip. The strap and buckle around the top of the bag is decorative.
The bag has an outer zip pocket and there are two generous zip pockets on both (in)sides of the bag. The bottom of the bag is leather with a flexible pasting ( not a horrible bit of over rigid cardboard if anybody has ever come across that kind of thing in cheaply made bags! ) inside for strength and support. There are 4 sturdy brass studs on the bottom of the bag for protection.
The bags are made from high end upholstery fabric that Amanda spends months collecting from various sources. She then matches them with the leather that fits each fabric then goes with these fabric and leather swatches to find tonally matching lining fabrics from the Delhi fabric surplus market. Once all the components are amassed, Amanda then sits in the family run factory that she has been working with and supervises the cutting of the bags to make sure that any patterns on the fabric are in the right places. These bags are a labour of love and, once a fabric is finished it will never ever be made in that combination ever again so they are very limited edition. Some are one off pieces.
