Description

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS YEAR THE KNITWEAR IS BEING OFFERED ON A PREORDER BASIS. You can choose any style in any colour. Because this is the first time I have done pre-order I have had to upload it slightly differently. The styles are listed by SIZE and then you can select your choice of colour. I have included more pictures than usual of the styles I physically have in my studio and which I welcome you to come and try on and order in person if you are able. The floating garment colour images are to help you let your imagination run wild as you dream your perfect power piece into being.

* NOTE: when you add an item to your basket, look at the colour name NOT the picture. The picture in the cart will not change according to the colour you order

One of Haruka’s bestsellers over the years, produced in a number of different fabrics, this dress is named after Rhiannon, the Welsh goddess of fertility and the moon. It embodies feminine grace and strength and celebrates the Goddess in all of us. And now, drumroll . . the Lambswool Rhiannon Dress is back! I think this is probably the style people have asked me most about over the last decade. Knitted from luxuriously soft lambswool,  the Rhiannon Maxi Dress features a fluid, full-length silhouette that flares gently from the high waist, skimming the body without being clingy. Fitted sleeves complement the fullness of the skirt, while the V-neckline and row of brass buttons draw the eye to the natural line of the neck. The brass buttons are embossed with Flower of Life design — a subtle nod to sacred geometry and natural balance.

The tightly knitted single ply lambswool drapes softly, offering natural, breathable warmth and comfort through the colder months. Perfect for ceremony and cold days when warmth and elegance converge. It can be worn alone as a statement piece or layered with knitwear and boots. The Rhiannon Dress is a luxurious yet grounded piece that you will treasure over the years and I hope that it will become, in some way, a part of your life. A piece that you wear to mark special occasions or just simple moments, because you are worth it!

FIT AND SIZE ( sorry it's long for the Rhiannon Dress!)

XS is a UK 6-8

S/M is a UK 10-12

M/L is a UK 14-16

L/XL is a UK 18

Ruby is wearing the XS Red Rhiannon dress. She is  5’8” and a UK size 6. Sophie is wearing the S Red Rhiannon Dress. She is 5’6” and a UK size 10/12. Ruby is wearing the S Heather Rhiannon Dress. She is  5’8” and a UK size 6. Sophie is wearing the mustard Dress. She is 5’6” and a UK size 10/12.

Ea is wearing the L/XL  Dress in Forest Green. She is 5’7” and size 18.

Danu is also wearing the L/XL Rhiannon Dress in Forest Green. She is  5’4” and a UK size 14. The green dress is too big for Danu and a M/L would have been the correct size for her.

I want to mention that there is a dying fault on the Kingfisher Blue dress that Danu is wearing in the photograph on the L/XL listing. This was an early Sample that Poonam and I made with different yarn and will NOT happen on your dress! I wanted to include it to show the colour.

Without wanting to state the obvious, there are a couple of points on fit that I would like to make here. The first is to bear in mind that the construction of a knitted garment has more ‘give’ in it than other mediums. It will stretch to accommodate the body and reshape whilst drying (which is why drying flat is recommended). The second is that the more beautiful curves a body has, the more a garment will ride up in length. That’s why the length grading of a maxi dress is always so difficult. I have had the dress samples hung up in my studio. When Poonam heard this (after I did the fashion shoot) she told me that was a mistake. We measured them, they had all stretched in length, to a maximum of 4cm from the samples before hanging. This is why the Rhiannon dresses look long on most of the models. This is because the Rhiannon Dress specifically is very bottom heavy with a LOT of wool and swish and movement. This is why we recommend storing the knitwear folded. To be clear, this level of stretch happened over a number of weeks and will not happen whilst wearing.

Please look at the MEASUREMENT CHARTS for the final measurements of the dresses.
