Description
The name Churidar is the name for the tight trousers ruched at the ankle in traditional Indian dress. Traditionally worn with a long tunic called a Kameez. Originally, they were not made with lycra, it didn't exist. I had a pair I used to wear when I lived in Varanasi. They were crazy! Made from woven Khadi cotton, it took me ages to get them over my foot and then do up many hook and eyes!
These leggings are NOT LIKE THAT !! Made from high quality cotton lycra that wears and washes well with time keeping its shape. The leggings are ruched at the ankle with a subtle vertical elastic stitched inside at the ankle to keep the ruched shape. There is a gently elasticated waist.
COMPOSITION: 100% cotton lycra. 5% lycra. 180GSM
