Classic Tailored Haruka Wool Waistcoat

Due to popular demand, the return of the classic tailored Haruka waistcoat.

Last year I asked on my social media if people were ready for a return of the Haruka waistcoat  and the answer was a resounding yes and most of you voted for a slightly smaller collar. So here you have it!

Fitted Waistcoat with princess line seams for a tailored look flattering the curves of the body. The waistcoat is hip length with a button up front. The buttons are made of natural coloured Mother of Pearl. At the back the waistcoat has a split tail shape.

All the waistcoats have cotton lining and two outside pockets at the front except for the mustard boiled wool. The fabric was just too thick to stitch them. I put two simple inside pockets in the mustard waistcoat instead.

The Waistcoats are priced in three tiers according to the cost of the fabric. All Wool fabrics are sourced from the surplus market so I don't know the exact composition except that they are high wool content.

These waistcoats are fluid as a summer layer or a winter layer over a jumper. Casual with an attitude and smart with a twist. This is one of the seminal Haruka designs and emerged from a confluence of India meets tweed vibes more than 15 years ago. I know many people who are still wearing their original waistcoats! It's a timeless classic piece.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

Cold hand wash

Or machine wash on cold WOOL setting

Use gentle detergent

FABRIC COMPOSITION:

ALL linings are 100% cotton.

OUTERS:

High wool content with mixed fibres. Purchased from the Surplus market so the exact composition is unknown.

The mustard boiled wool waistcoat is 100% wool and the lining of the mustard one is organic cotton hand block printed in natural colours.
