Magdalene Mid Length Shawl Collar Jacket

The mid length magdalene jacket comes in three different fabrics and colour ways. All are limited edition. The Purple edition, Blackberry purple colour, shown here, is a combination of cotton lycra and a high quality, 100% wool crepe fabric. This wool fabric has an incredible drape. A rare find during our hunting and gathering in the fabric surplus market, it is a very high end fabric and we snapped all of it up. Perfect summer evening coat or wear as a winter layer. Layer with a waistcoat or a cardigan over. The fitted sleeves will fit underneath a coat. A super smart, winter evening jacket. Also perfect as ceremonial wear. It's a really unusual and versatile garment.

The generous shawl collar is wide enough to cover the head and to wrap around the body. If left open the vertical lines are flattering and elongate the body. Also looks good belted. The Jacket has jersey fitted sleeves with a cuff detail and a triangular panel of fabric is inserted at the back giving a fitted A-line shape at the back. As the jacket has an open front the fit is flexible

Wash on cold wool cycle with gentle detergent. Do not tumble dry
